Crystal Palace defender Danny Butterfield has committed his future to the club by signing a new two-year contract at Selhurst Park.The 28-year-old, whose previous deal was due to expire in the summer, has now committed himself to the Eagles until 2010.
"I'm delighted to be signing a new deal and I really believe that the current squad can continue to perform to a level which will see us challenging for honours at the end of the season," Butterfield told the club's official website.
"This was an important decision for me at this time of my career."
Palace are also hoping to agree new contracts with captain Mark Hudson and goalkeeper Julian Speroni.
