Sheffield Wednesday boss Brian Laws does not expect to sign a new Premier League striker on loan in time for the midweek clash with Charlton.The Owls manager has been looking to add a forward and a midfielder to his squad since the loan window re-opened last Friday, but his efforts have so far proven unsuccessful.

Laws said: "Whether one comes in for the Charlton game remains to be seen.

"Everybody has been holding off. Premier clubs don't really want to let their players out.

"They want all their international players back before they make a decision."
