Shrews pair facing fitness tests

Mon 11 Feb, 04:45 PM

Shrewsbury manager Gary Peters will give late fitness tests to two players for the visit of League Two leaders MK Dons on Tuesday.Colin Murdock and Kevin McIntyre both sustained knocks in Saturday's game with Brentford but will be given every chance to prove their fitness.

Striker Andy Cooke is expected to be out of action for another week with the leg problem which has kept him sidelined in recent weeks.

A knee injury looks set to rule defender Darren Moss out for a similar period of time.

Striker Dave Hibbert was booked for the fifth time this season against the Bees but is available for Tuesday's game because the one-game suspension does not kick in until Saturday, when the Shrews travel to Morecambe.

James Constable and Chris Humphrey both made substitute appearances in the 1-1 draw and will again be in contention after suffering no reaction to their respective ankle and leg injuries.
