Swansea defender Dennis Lawrence could be back in action in two weeks after injuring his knee in the 2-2 draw at Crewe.
The Trinidad and Tobago international was stretchered off before half-time in the game at Gresty Road, prompting fears a serious injury had been sustained.
But club physio Richie Evans has confirmed that the injury was not as bad as it appeared.
He told the club website: "Dennis has a mild strain of the medial ligament in his knee, but it is nothing serious."
"He twisted his knee in a challenge and the opposing player landed on top of it.
"Fortunately a surgeon friend of mine, who happens to be a Crewe fan, was in the crowd and he checked Dennis out at half-time. He allayed our initial fears.
"Now once the swelling goes down we can start working on getting Dennis back as soon as possible.
"We'll keep assessing him, but at the moment it only looks as if he'll be out for two to three weeks."
League-leaders Swansea welcome Walsall to the Liberty Stadium on Tuesday night.
