There was rare British success this weekend in the world of Winter Sports.
Sheffield's Kristan Bromley won the Skeleton World Cup for the second time after finishing sixth in the final race of the season in Winterberg.
First place in the event went to Latvian Martins Dukurs but sixth was good enough for Bromley to top the final points standings.
Bromley said: "I'm delighted to be flying the flag for the UK as the 2008 World Cup champion.
"This victory will hopefully show the UK that there are medals to be won at the Winter Olympics in Vancouver 2010.''
