England coach Martin Johnson has made two changes to his side for the Six Nations clash with Wales, recalling fit-again centre Mike Tindall and flanker Joe Worsley.
Tindall (pictured left), who missed last weekend's 36-11 win over Italy with a back injury, is named at outside centre in place of Jamie Noon, and forms a centre partnership with Riki Flutey.
Worsley (pictured right), who came on in the second half against Italy, starts on the openside in place of debutant Steffon Armitage, who drops out of the match-day squad.
The experienced pair, both part of England's 2003 World Cup winning squad, will be looking to add some direction and leadership to Johnson's side following their below-par performance against Italy.
Worsley, normally a blindside flanker for his club Wasps, last started for England against Samoa in the 2007 World Cup. The 31-year-old gets his chance because of injuries to opensides Tom Rees, Michael Lipman and Lewis Moody.
Andy Goode keeps his place at stand-off, and fit-again Toby Flood returns to the match 22 in place of Shane Geraghty, who pays the price for being yellow-carded within minutes of coming on last week.
Again there is no place for Wasps star stand-off Danny Cipriani, who last week was named in the England Saxons team before the match with Ireland A was called off due to the weather.
Mark Cueto retains his place on the wing ahead of Ugo Moyne, who missed the Italy game with a back injury.
Scrum-half Danny Care is still sidelined with an ankle injury so Harry Ellis continues in the number nine role for the clash against the Six Nations defending champions.
Ellis, who scored two tries against Italy, is covered on the bench by London Irish's Paul Hodgson, who comes in for Ben Foden. Also added to the replacements is Gloucester back-rower Luke Narraway.
Team: 15-Delon Armitage, 14-Paul Sacky, 13-Mike Tindall, 12-Riki Flutey, 11-Mark Cueto, 10-Andy Goode, 9-Harry Ellis; 1-Andrew Sheridan, 2-Lee Mears, 3-Phil Vickery, 4-Steve Borthwick (capt), 5-Nick Kennedy, 6-James Haskell, 7-Joe Worsley, 8-Nick Easter.
Replacements: 16-Dylan Hartley, 17-Julian White, 18-Tom Croft , 19-Luke Narraway, 20-Paul Hodgson, 21-Toby Flood, 22-Mathew Tait.

Sadie: thats the spirit! Us real Celts feel the same way: we always support two countries - our own and whoever is playing England.
As for pig-headedness? LMAO! A typical one-eyed English comment, that. You just can't handle it when you are proved wrong, time after time. Rather than making sweeping statements, give me an example of my "pig-headedness" to debate?
All my love, Gez.
DC dont you just love people like Gez? guaranteed to piss you off with his over inflated ego. (cause he's Welsh). They are due a down fall soon. Just remember you can laugh when they dont win the grand slam. I would rather anyone. EVEN France won it rather than Wales. And that is due to their sheer pig headedness. I would like to see it won by anyone in the uk. OTHER than Wales
DC Fizz: so you're an Anglo Scot? Worst of both worlds this season then?
To all the Welsh on this article, I would like to add that your current coaching staff include an All Black and Englishman. Now the whole point of rugby nowadays is not how pure a side is, but whether they are able to use the resources that are available to them.
Remember the Grand Slam of last year? Where would you have been without Gatland and Edwards?
As an Anglo-Scot I find your pathetic comments, Gez, annoying. You are merely showing how narrow minded you are. Grow up and enjoy the game for what it is, a game. There are many things more important than your delusions of how 'great' a side you have.
Just get a life.
Or north American mammal that builds dams and Jerk??
Or should i have said @#$% and jerk
The word I typed was @#$%....?? lol!
I agree Jono was a top player, but lacks something as a manager.I was puzzled as to why an experienced player (Tindall) was in the gym doing @#$% and jerk weightlifting a week before the Italy game. Gatland and Edwards are a different breed and they know how to get the best out of a team. I'am chuffed to bits with them and the whole squad. I can't see tindall lasting the game if he bumps into Roberts or for that matter little shanks!
I am welsh.Lets get that over with. I would, therefore like Wales to beat England on Sauturday. The game, I believe, will be far closer affair than alot of people think, it is not a good idea to write off any English side, in whatever guise that team appears. My opinion is simple, may the best team win on the day and an exciting game of ruby is enjoyed by both sets of fans. As for some of the previous comments regarding peoples nationality, sex and stereotypical assumptions based on the place an individual hails from, I believe is pathetic. The last time I saw a sheep it was being cooked on Masterchef!
Has anyone else noticed how Jonno is gradually reverting to nostalgia in his selection strategy? I admired him so much as a player, and a colossus as a captain. But he really has lost the plot. Just read his cliches about what the team needs to do to beat the Welsh ('snarl' etc). What would you think of that if you were an England player? And what's this about 'we need to improve'? How many times is a coach allowed to say that? The future looks bleak.
I agree about the need to play Tait.I know he has not been playing so well recently for his club since he came back from injury. But then his club don't start him for most games at the moment. But something happens to Tait when he puts on an England shirt. He suddenly becomes a creative international player of influence. There is also a great deal of balls talked about his lack of stature and build for playing at centre.I still believe he should be at Fullback but there would be a lot more creative flair in the back line if he was playing outside centre instead of the predictable crash bang running of Tindall. It will not be enough for England to contain Wales they must create chances for themselves and for that they need Tait.
2 invalid comments?? wtf Yahoo?
dalziel_jon when tait played that game in 2005 he wasnt half the player he is today i think if he can run riot against world champions south africa in a world cup finnal he should fair well against wales...why dont we try a crash ball inside centre like tindall and a smart ball player at outside like tait it worked for woodward in greenwoods days playing two kicking players at fly half and inside centre doesnt give any confidence to cueto sackey or armatige to run.....but then maybe jonno is lookin at playin a different game if teams cant score they cant win maybe thats the plan but if it is the penelties will have to stop
I find it very strange that so many people take the comment which started this post as a racist comment but are quite happy to let what in my opinion are racist comments about the welsh Scottish English and Irish or make sexist comments.
The post was not about the players’ race or religion.
If I wanted to make a racist comment about any rugby players in any national team there has a lot of players in all the national teams (which have been shown in other posts).
So if you want to complain about racist point the finger of accusation at all racist comments
LOL@me having to show up to prove anything to you Gez. If you are too narrow minded to even consider the fact that a female knows something about rugby, well that says it all really. I have a family member who played for blackheath juniors for years. And I have been to quite a few games both club and international, so yes I understand a little about the game. Maybe not to your superior levels but enough for a mere woman.
Now back to the sheep... how many is in your collection now????
Have to say i'm not quite as confident as some of my fellow countryman.... the last time england were this 'poor' they proceeded to smash AUS and then France, ultimately reaching the world cup final.
This Welsh team is good, not great - let's face it England handed it to us last year in the second half.
If England's front 5 show up it could be a real battle. The selection of worsley at openside gives a pretty telling insight into how england will play.
This is going to be alot tougher than the majority of people seem to believe.
the 6 nations.... what a great tournament.
Wales v England ....Wales will edge this if the english pack dont domminate up front Andy goode kicking must be at its best kick the ball away against wales it will cost points ......also i think England give to many penitles away
I still dont get why the Welsh feel the need to come into a post about England to play billy big balls.. makes them look silly. If we disgust you so much, keep the feck off our posts. Simple.
whos the meg who thinks tait should be palying for the poms ? last time he played in cardiff it nearly ended his career. Hes two small for a modern centre.
