Fourth seed Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland charged into the second round of the Paris Open with a 6-1 6-1 demolition of Ukraine's Oxana Lyubtsova.
World number 10 Radwanska was in a hurry on the Pierre de Coubertin stadium's centre court, taking only 48 minutes to set up a meeting with Russian Alisa Kleybanova.
Lyubtsova failed to score a single point on her second serve and bowed out on the first match point.
In a good day for the local favourites, Alize Cornet put her Fed Cup nightmare behind her by thrashing Latvian qualifier Anastasija Sevastova 6-1 6-3.
Cornet, who lost both of her singles matches in a 5-0 rout by Italy in the World Group first round tie last weekend, will next play either Russian Ekaterina Makarova or Slovakia's Daniela Hantuchova.
France's Nathalie Dechy and Emilie Loit both progressed by defeating Romania's Sorana Cirstea and Czech Nicole Vaidisova respectively.
World number one and Australian Open champion Serena Williams plays Czech Iveta Benesova in the first round on Wednesday.

Gratulacje Agnieszka! Mam nadzieję, że forma wróciła. Powodzenia!
CONGRATULATIONS AGNES
But we must not forget that Nicole's 2008 season ended prematurely with a right-wrist injury, and I think it's fair to say that her confidence is very low at the moment. She is a confidence-player, so when she gets on a roll, look out!
P. E thats a good point, think stepanek has a great deal to do with her failure
what happened to her? she's being balling with guys over and over again, instead of focusing on her game; that's why she can't hit the ball no more. ask hingis, she better knows
she needs a psychologist and probably a better coaching crew just like dinara did and the results are there as a proof and she should work on her fitness as well.
What's happened to Nicole Vaidisova???? Why is she doing so badly????
