Pupo wins in Brazil
Miguel Pupo won the Hang Loose Pro in Fernando de Noronha, Brazil.
Pupo scored an excellent 16.10 in the all-Brazilian final to pip compatriot Jean Da Silva in the final.
The result was a disappointment for Da Silva, who had scored an astonishing 19.47 out of 20 in the round of 16 as he showed superb form.
But the 19-year-old Pupo, who dazzled the world of surfing last season in his rookie year to rise to 36th in the world, had gone even better with an incredible, near-perfect 19.77 in his semi-final, and it was Pupo who made the better of 4-5ft waves in the final.
