Two second-half goals from Adam Boyd enabled Leyton Orient to end a run of three consecutive home defeats with a 2-1 victory over Swindon.Apart from two efforts by Blair Sturrock in the opening minutes, Swindon posed few threats during a scrappy, wind-affected first half.
But they unexpectedly took the lead when Anthony McNamee broke clear and his shot was deflected past home goalkeeper Glenn Morris for an own-goal by stand-in skipper Alton Thelwell after 20 minutes.
Paul Terry, Jason Demetriou and Sean Thornton might have made more of chances for an Orient equaliser.
But they made the breakthrough when Boyd struck from the penalty spot after Miguel Comminges had brought down Wayne Gray in the 51st minute.
They edged in front when Boyd met a John Milligan cross with a header in the 55th minute for his 12th goal of the campaign.
