Preston defender Michael Hart admits he is "desperate to get a game" as he nears full fitness following a spell out with a hip injury.The 28-year-old full-back is yet to feature for the Lilywhites since his January move from Aberdeen because of the injury.

He is now closing in on a return, however, and is expected to play for the reserves against Morecambe on Thursday.

"It's been difficult but hopefully it will be worth it in the end. I'm just desperate to get a game now," he told the club's official website.

"I think I'll take part in the reserve game on Thursday and then hopefully I can get back involved with the first team."
