MK Dons assistant boss Ray Mathias hailed his side's character after they went back to the top of the table with a 2-1 victory at Chesterfield.Goals from Keith Andrews and Lloyd Dyer sealed the Dons' 14th league away win of the season.
He said: "It was a good battling performance against a Chesterfield team who are fighting hard for the play-offs - they made life difficult for us.
"But our lads played some good football in what were difficult conditions and we got the goals at important times.
"The response that we got when we conceded the goal was absolutely brilliant. Our away form has been superb and the lads are coping with everybody at the moment."
Andrews came back from a two-match suspension to score his first goal since New Year's Day and Mathias added: "Keith had a great run but then had a bit of a lull, but credit to him because no-one gets to the box more often than he does."
