Coventry defender Elliott Ward believes their youthful team is a testament to club's academy at the Ricoh Arena. At 23, Ward is the oldest player in the Sky Blues' defence and with the likes of Leon Best now getting their chance, City's team has a youthful look at both ends of the field.
"That just shows what good young players we have here," he told the club's official website. "The manager plays them because he has faith in them and as a young player you are always going to learn much more when you are playing in the first team."
Chris Coleman's side are currently just four points off the relegation zone but Ward insists the team are "learning massively" from the experience.
He added: "It's good to have a young back four and we're doing okay at the moment. We're in a bit of a situation that we need to get out of but all of the young lads are learning massively from it."
