Cheltenham manager Keith Downing hopes to hand a debut to defender Richard Keogh for the trip to Elland Road to face play-off chasers Leeds on Tuesday night.

Keogh (pictured) completed the formalities of a one-month loan move from Bristol City on Tuesday morning and comes straight into contention to face Gary McAllister's side.

Alex Russell, another player on loan from the Championship leaders, made his return to action from a stomach problem as a second-half substitute in Saturday's 2-1 defeat against Yeovil and will hope to have done enough to earn a starting berth.

Midfielder Scott Brown sits out the final game of a three-match ban for his 90th-minute red card against Bournemouth.

Michael Townsend remains short of match fitness following his recovery from illness and again misses out while Gavin Caines (knee) and John Finnigan (ankle) will not play again this season.

Leeds forward Tresor Kandol will compete for a starting berth alongside top scorer Jermaine Beckford with recent loan signing Dougie Freedman, after shaking off a knee problem.

Andy Hughes is available again after injury, but captain Jonathan Douglas is not yet ready to feature.

The Robins go into the game in 20th position in League One, just a point above the relegation zone, while a win for Leeds could lift them back into the play-off places.
