Defender Paul Boertien will miss Walsall's first ever league trip to Whaddon Road to take on Cheltenham after suffering a broken toe.The left-back sustained the injury in training eight days ago but it is hoped he will be in contention for the visit of Bournemouth next weekend.
Richard Taundry deputised in Boertien's absence against Tranmere, but Saddlers boss Richard Money has other options available to him.
"Richard is one of the players that can play at left-back, but we have one or two more that can play there as well," said Money.
"Alassane N'Dour can play at left-back, which might be a good option for us so we will see."
Midfielder Darren Wrack could return to the squad after missing the last two matches with a bout of flu.
