Scunthorpe skipper Andy Crosby is expected to return to the squad for the Championship clash at Crystal Palace on Saturday.Central defender Crosby has missed the last two matches due to a knee injury, but returned to full training this week and should be available.

But manager Nigel Adkins is expected to retain Izzy Iriekpen alongside Andy Butler at the heart of his defence.

Adkins will be without Jack Cork again as the versatile on-loan Chelsea man sits out the last of a three-game ban, but Ben May should be fit after sustaining a cut head in the reserves in midweek.

Striker Paul Hayes scored for the second string in the same match and is in contention, but Adkins is likely to retain Geoff Horsfield as a lone striker with Ian Morris playing just behind him, with Martin Paterson settling for a place on the bench.
