West Brom defender Neil Clement admits winning a third promotion with the Baggies "would mean everything" to him after his injury woes. The 29-year-old is now back in action after 18 months of problems with a knee injury and a loan spell with Championship rivals Hull.

Clement has played in Albion's last four games and looks set to feature again as the leaders hope to move a step closer to the top flight with victory over promotion rivals Watford.

West Brom went top with victory at Blackpool in midweek while Watford, the season's early pacesetters, suffered a a surprise loss to struggling Barnsley.

Clement, who went up with Albion in 2202 and 2004, told the club's official website: "I'm hungrier than ever at the moment.

"As far as I'm concerned the injury thing is behind me and it's now about capping it off with a promotion.

"Everyone wants to play in the Premier League and I'm no different.

"Winning a third promotion with would mean everything, especially after my injury."

Victory at The Hawthorns would give Albion a five-point advantage over Adrian Boothroyd's men having played a game less.

It would also help hold off Bristol City, Stoke and Hull, who are also within striking distance of top spot, but Clement accepts it will not be easy.

"Being top of the table is where you want to be with five games to go," he said.

"I doubt very much if Watford will be as bad as they were on Wednesday when they lost 3-0 to Barnsley.

"The game is live on TV and, with both sides going for promotion, I think it will be a lot tighter than it was the other night.

"Having said that we'll be in front of our own fans on a good pitch and we're all hungry to perform on the day.

"If we did win, five points would be a big gap between us and them at this stage. We'll see where we are after the game."

Boothroyd is determined for his side to bounce back to prevent a season that promised so much in the early stages from ending in disappointment.

"Rest assured we'll be putting it right," he said after Wednesday's loss. "We're not out and we never will be, tomorrow we start again and we have a massive game at the weekend."

Of the other sides vying for the two automatic promotion places, Bristol City host Wolves, Coventry travel to Stoke and Hull host QPR.
