Hume calling for fans' backing

Fri 11 Apr, 05:30 PM

Iain Hume has said he expects the Leicester crowd to get right behind the side as they face Colchester in their attempt to escape relegation.Colchester's relegation to League One was confirmed on Wednesday night when Barnsley beat Watford 3-0, and Hume is confident that Leicester will not follow their opponents down a division.

He told the club's official website: "There is no point in me standing here issuing a rallying call to the supporters because we know they will turn up and give us their full backing on Saturday.

"We are where we are now, and collectively, need to do something about it."

With Ian Holloway's men a point away from in-form Sheffield Wednesday, the Foxes are in desperate need of points if they are to avoid dropping to the third tier for the first time in their history.
