Johnson: Season is far from over

Fri 11 Apr, 05:45 PM

Bristol City boss Gary Johnson insists his side's season is not over regardless of their result against Wolves on Saturday. The Robins face Mick McCarthy's side at Ashton Gate looking to bounce back from last weekend's 2-0 defeat at the hands of Southampton.

West Brom's win over Blackpool saw the Baggies leapfrog Bristol City at the top of the Championship, but defeats for promotion rivals Watford and Stoke in midweek ensured they kept second place.

"We've worked hard on and off the training ground to get back to our pattern and shape. When the boys go into the Wolves game they know we haven't cheated on the last result," Johnson told the club's official website.

"I said we needed to work hard to turn it around (after the Southampton game) and if we do that against Wolves then a lot of people will say 'how the hell did they do that'. But we have a group of players capable of doing that.

"Whatever happens against Wolves, the season's not over."
