  1. I hope Mr. WEBB watched the match after and judged for himself. He should act accordingly. He should be given the whistle again so that he can continue what he started.

  2. Premier ligue refs should consider waching and learning the real footbal in order to referee international maches. Mr Webb is one of the English best refs but he makes poor jugements. Now the Barca manager (who reacted to his poor refering) will be missing on the bech, and Messi a ridiculous yellow...

If the English premier ligue was the best in the world, we sould have seen top players like Maradona, M van Basten, Zidan, Ronaldo, Rivaldo... the list is too long.
    * Compare the amount of world cup winners (players) playing in spain or Italy to England to have an idea of the true best ligue. The pace of the premier ligue doesn't make it the best. The is only one reason top English players are not going to play in top ligues. MONEY! BEST LIGUES IN THE WORLD HAVE BEST NATIONAL TEAMS. Even Russia is more enjoyable to watch than England. They are a unit of great players; not some product of the media publicity.

  3. The lack of English players in Spain and the large numbers of spanish players in the Premiership suggests which league the players think is best. You cannot deny that Lampard, Rooney, Gerrard and Terry are good enough to play in the Spanish league yet they have no desire to step down a division. Beckham and Mcmanaman played in spain as age caught up with them and the pace of the premier league got too much yet Beckham inspired Real (eventually) to a league title and Mcmanaman won two European cups(the same number as Barcelona in their history). The premier league is full of youth and pace for swansong stars topping up their tans catch La liga.

  6. some of them compair EPL with la liga no way la liga is far better with its world class stars don't forget that ronaldo the first player from EPL to win best player of the year while la liga 11 times in last 19 years of the FIFA prize Romario 1994 Ronaldo 1996,1997 Rivaldo 1999 FIGO 2000 Ronaldinho 2004,2005 this year Messi this are only in barca while real Ronaldo 2002 Zidan 2003 and Canavaro 2006 so EPL FANS SHUT YOUR @#$%

  10. Sorry Tim, I still think of Mini's as English through they are created by a German company, Strawberrys and cream are still English though the strawberries may have been picked by eastern European and I still love a traditional English chicken Tikka Masala after a night out drinking continental lager. English football clubs are part of the fabric of English society and nobody can take that away from us!

Ahhhhh blast! i wish they accepted the appeal for messi...guardiola has no excuse as his reaction was out of proportions! anywho at the moment barcelona are truly untouchable and i cant see any team beating them...the english teams are magnificent but i would still bet my money on the blaugrana...VISCA ELBARCA

  12. And England isn't the home of Football, and Messi and Henry are both Spanish, lol.

Get over it Tim, it is the same with foriegn players in every league, it is just that most 'want' to play their Football in the home of the game. Not dusty 2 club Spain.

  13. #25, There is a possibility that NO English club will make the CL final. FYI, 80% of Manchester United,Liverpool,Chelsea and Arsenal starters are NOT English. All four EPL clubs' managers and owners are NOT English. So enough with this English this or that. The EPL is English in name only !!

From Tim, on Sat 11 Apr 5:50PM
  14. Thank goodness English clubs are dominating the Champions League, if this continues we can spare the blushes of English referees by making them illegible from the semi's and final this year at least.

  19. Titus; I totally agree with you. Barça did NOT need the penalty and could have scored more goals in the second half. I'm just pissed at those Madrid scum who should be more concerned with their own club !!

From Tim, on Fri 10 Apr 2:09PM
  20. Yes TIM, I Agree. TO HELL WITH MADRID.
just to add, Do you really think Barca needed the penalty? After the incident, we scored 2 more goals. they kicked messi andf Eto'o, even hammered Messi in the face with an elbow, he still got up and ran circles around the German defence. Bayern should be grateful we felt sorry for them, because we had 45 more minutes to score 4 more goals, but Barca was in a generous charitable mood, afterall, its Easter.
