Wigan 0-2 Man Utd (Man Utd are champions)
Steve Bruce: "You have the question referee. It is a good job we had nothing riding on it because he made two or three horrific decisions in the first half. We wanted the enjoyment of taking them on and seeing how far we have progressed and I think anybody who witnessed today would have said 'by god they have had a good go' and with a little bit of luck we might got something."
Sir Alex Ferguson: "It was a tough one all right (this title). The last game, away from home, but in fairness for most of the game we played well. Some nervous moments. I was saying to myself 'please get that second goal' and of course our oldest player today came up with it. If we had lost the title today it would have been a great knock but the great thing is we are bouncing into the (Champions League) final, I am very proud to have survived so long but I am at a great club which makes it easier for me than the rest."
Chelsea 1-1 Bolton
Avram Grant: "They (United) had a great season and I would like to congratulate them, they played very well, and I'd especially like to congratulate Alex Ferguson - he is a great manager and a great person - I like him very much but we had a good season. We past Liverpool and then Arsenal only not United. I just wish the season was two weeks longer.
And on John Terry's injury: "He's strong enough to recover, but you never know. We need to wait and see how bad it is. We will know better in a couple of days."
Gary Megson: "I've been here 28 games and I've never once complained about them throwing the towel in. We have got problems that need sorting out but I am delighted we can sort them out as a Premier League club. Going down and coming straight back up is a real task and I am really pleased we don't have to do it at Bolton."
Portsmouth 0-1 Fulham (Fulham survive)
Harry Redknapp: "Personally I couldn't see us losing today, and I don't know how we did.For 75 minutes we were clearly the better team but we didn't do anything with our chances or possession.Still, we've finished eighth in the Premier League and we are in the FA Cup final next week. That's not a bad season for Portsmouth, is it? I don't think it can get any better for a club like this."
Roy Hodgson: "I am delighted we did it but, at the same time, I can't help but think how close we were to going down. It is sad for Reading and Birmingham - they have all my sympathy tonight. In all the jubilation, I must say we were not that far away from it being us and not them.
Derby 0-4 Reading (Reading are relegated)
Paul Jewell: I'm so disappointed the way it has gone out. It sums up our season - not good enough. The majority of those players will never play for Derby County again. As a group we haven't been good enough, and I put myself in that too, I'm not ducking the issue. But it seems whatever team we put out they all make basic errors.
Steve Coppell: "I have got to look at things. It's too close (after the game) now. I have a huge affection for this club and I want to do what I think is right for this club. I thought if we had got three points here today it would be enough. At the end of it all, you have to give huge respect to Roy (Hodgson) and Fulham. We wouldn't have been looking forward to going to Portsmouth today. The dressing room is a very sad place at the moment and it's difficult to know what to say to ease their pain."
Birmingham 4-1 Blackburn (Birmingham are relegated)
Alex McLeish: "I'm very proud of the players' response today. They produced an outstanding performance. All they could do was win but results did not go for us elsewhere. We have missed out by one point. The players have punched above their weight many times this season, and they did it again today. We've only lost one of 13 home games since I've been here but we haven't won enough of them and that has cost us.
Mark Hughes: "We had an opportunity to get the job done today and we didn't, that's the galling thing. We are disappointed with that situation because we haven't taken the opportunity that presented itself. Obviously we needed to win the game (to finish above Aston Villa in Intertoto spot), a draw really wasn't good enough so we had to throw on attack-minded players and when you do that sometimes you can get a little bit ragged and a little bit in-disciplined and as a consequence you can get exposed which happened in the end."
Middlesbrough 8-1 Man City
Gareth Southgate: "It was a great performance to say goodbye to our fans. The circumstances at City may have made things difficult for them and it was a massive uphill task once Richard Dunne has been sent off. Dunne did not mean to bring Tuncay down but I don't think the referee had a lot of choice but to send him off."
Sven-Goran Eriksson: "It is difficult to take whenever you lose. But, when you lose like this, it is awful. To concede a penalty and have Richard Dunne sent off was a bad start but we were in the game until it was 3-0. After that, mentally we had nothing left. We were not even on the pitch - the team had totally gone and it was embarrassing for everyone."
Everton 3-1 Newcastle (Everton secure UEFA Cup spot)
David Moyes: "This board has always backed me and I don't expect that to change. We deserved to finish fifth, we have been in the top five since the New Year and we finished on a good note. We got word that Aston Villa were leading but the players kept to their job, and all credit to them."
Kevin Keegan: "If ever we needed a team to look at we were in the right place today. If Everton can finish fifth, why can't we? We have a bigger stadium and more fans, but they all play for each other and that's the spirit we don't have. If we can get that with the players we've got there's no reason we can't challenge for that spot next season."
Sunderland 0-1 Arsenal
Roy Keane: "It has panned out the way I thought it would, I have to say. We have finished 15th in the table and I have to say we are probably the 15th best team. Manchester United have been the best and the three worst teams have gone down. That's why I have always felt deep down that we would be fine."
Arsene Wenger: "You have to be reasonable. When you get 83 points and you call that failure, what would the other teams say? I feel quality-wise we have been remarkable the whole season. I have never had a team that has consistently produced quality games like this team. We lost a 100 metres (race) by a fraction of a second. We were on the same line and somebody has put their chest in front of us just at the end."
Tottenham 0-2 Liverpool
Juande Ramos: "I think we maybe did suffer after the Carling Cup success, maybe we achieved our target too soon. I think you have to give all the credit to Torres. He has had a great season and although he had a bit of space for the goal, he has played well. "
Rafael Benitez: "We knew we had a lot of supporters here and we wanted to win for them. We created a lot of chances and could have scored more goals. The first half was frustrating but the second was much better and we deserved the victory."
West Ham 2-2 Aston Villa (Villa secure Intertoto Cup spot)
Alan Curbishley: "I've said all along how well my players have done. We let ourselves down in a couple of games but in the main we have done well despite having to contend with a lot of problems. Fans saw last summer that we had players coming in rather than leaving. We're hoping to build on that, I'm not under pressure to cut costs."
Martin O'Neill: "I'm very pleased with the team because we've taken big strides since last season. It's disappointing we've missed out on the UEFA Cup but with Everton beating Newcastle it doesn't seem so bad. We're in the Intertoto Cup for definite now, which means we have to play 17 games in the middle of June! What it really means is that we have to be back a week earlier and be competitive sooner than expected because the ties are mid to late July."
