Ferrari's executive board will meet to discuss ‘governance developments’ and the future of Formula One at Maranello on Tuesday, the Italian team has announced.
It is expected that, following Red Bull and Toyota's announcements that they will not lodge 2010 team entries with the FIA by the May 29 deadline, Ferrari President Luca di Montezemolo will then make a statement about the current political situation. Part of the afternoon board meeting will be devoted to ‘current situation analysis’ related to F1, a Ferrari statement said on Monday.
Timo Glock was surprised to discover that his grid girl for the Spanish Grand Prix was a man. Holding the placard bearing his race number in Barcelona was Thomas, a model from London. "I've never seen that before," the Toyota driver smiled. "At least a girl is holding the German flag," Glock added.
Nick Heidfeld celebrated his 32nd birthday on the day of the Spanish Grand Prix by cutting a cake - and the BMW Sauber driver even ate half a slice.
Mark Webber's Barcelona podium fell on the 50th anniversary of the first win of his Australian compatriot Sir Jack Brabham, a triple world champion and former constructor. "He did a huge amount for Formula One," the Red Bull driver said.
He might be on top of the world in the excessive world of Formula One, but it seems the economic crisis applies even to Ross Brawn. The owner of the team that is currently leading both the drivers' and constructors' championships flew back to the UK from Barcelona on EasyJet, a discount airline.
Brawn may have flown EasyJet, but F1's regulars from the Japanese broadcaster Fuji TV did not travel to Spain at all, for [a seemingly irrational] fear of contracting Swine flu.
In Aosta, northern Italy, Nico Rosberg won a poker tournament in the week before the Spanish Grand Prix. Also taking part were Michael Schumacher, Giancarlo Fisichella, Tonio Liuzzi and Eddie Irvine.

Why Have Yahoo padded this out with a load of old messages? Things must be getting pretty slow here if they've got to recycle old posts.
Must be because everyone's following Spanky's advice (18) and going to f1fanatics,myforumx,com for a decent conversation.
FIA favours anything that can ruin the Mclarens chances of fighting for the championship.

He was/is very consistent..and he really needs a good car!
i suppose you lied to the swiss police. iam a hero in the fatherland.
i am the best best driver,i am a hero in the fatherland.
Lewis must not be as good a driver as he thinks. I recall another time he failed to yeild to a traffic signal, Canada, crashed into Kimi, took him out.
Weird, all the posts in response have a variety of dates on some from July last year
you speed in the pitlane, you get a fine, everybody knows this, its not a conspiracy, it really is quite simple, its not the same as ignoring flags where its not an automatic fine, its not the same as overtaking a ferrari, its simply speeding in the pitlane.
the race hasn't begun yet and he is already on the path to cheating
BMW just spoken to after ignoring yellow flags!! Oh, I forgot, the team name does not start with an M.
Hi USAlien & mjhzxc. Some of the people who prefer to talk about F1 in a friendly way, and don't want to wade through pages of nonsense have been visiting a forum. We think you might fit in nicely there, its at f1fanatics,myforumx,com obviously swap the commas. You'll find a lot of nice people there.
Let's see ... Hamilton gets fined 900 Euros for speeding in pitlane (okay, twice in one day and admittedly 900 Euros is a drop in the bucket) and Kubica just gets a reprimand for ignoring yellow flags?
Granted, speeding in pit lane is dangerous, but isn't ignoring yellow flags potentially just as dangerous? Where's the fine for Kubica?
how can you call a world champion a rookie. he was a rookie but not any more worrie about your own driver.(who probley drive for ferrari)
Just like ive said a few times in other posts .. Watch the rookie hamilton start making loadsa rookie mistakes and sure enough so he is , the trouble is he will make them in the race as well and take out experienced driivers !!!

Restraining order for Sutil... very funny, LOL.
By the way, thanks to Massa spin which caught Sutil unexpectedly. Massa get away and Sutil go into the wall and race is over for him. Looks like 250m behind is not good enough... haha
Hehe Roy, you are too funny. I think McLaren need to put indicators on Lewis's car so the stewards don't penalize him for improper lane changes.
I'm sure it won't be long before the tifosi complain that Sutil is getting paid by McLaren for obstructing Massa time and again. Massa is going to seek a restraining order, making him stay a minimum of 250ft behind him
I here that the stewards were asked to fall on thier swords for not penalising McClaren for failling to run down the pit lane to help Ferrri mechanics who were slowed down by the weight of the bung given them by Ron and as for the time penalty on Massa, they are taking that to the FIA to see if they can get that applied to Hamilton instead for passing Massa again while he was in the pits and having a better suntan
