Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti has denied he has been offered the Chelsea manager's job.
The Stamford Bridge hotseat will be vacant when Guud Hiddink leaves at the end of the season, but Ancelotti claims he will continue in charge at the San Siro.
Sunday night's 1-1 draw at home to Juventus all but ended Milan's hopes of catching city rivals Inter in the race for the Serie A title.
But Ancelotti branded speculation he has been handed a take-it-or-leave-it ultimatum by Chelsea as "rubbish".
"It is not a problem which concerns me," he said. "I don't have to give my availability. The time has not yet come for me to be replaced at Milan."
Ancelotti still has a year left to run on his contract with Milan and Sunday night's draw should be enough to guarantee them a place in the Champions League next season.
Having won Europe's premier club competition twice already with the Rossoneri, Ancelotti has no intention of leaving just when the chance of completing a hat-trick remains.
"It's easier to win in Europe with Milan than with other clubs so I am staying here," he added.
On the domestic front, though, Ancelotti has conceded Milan's Scudetto hopes are now over.
It is four seasons since Milan last won the title, but a win last night would have reduced Inter's lead to just five points with three games remaining.
But their rivals can now clinch a fourth straight title by beating Siena at the San Siro on Sunday night, regardless of how Milan get on at Udinese 24 hours earlier.
"That issue had already been dealt with," he said. "Our aim is to get one more win to finish in the top three. It is not going to be easy at Udinese because they are in good form, but we should be able to take the points home with us from one of the next three games."

@ onyeka j- "what achievements have you got to flaunt" - try 3 finals and 2 champion leagues. .how many finals have inter been in that time? how many cups does your "jose" have? all inter has had is the fortunate time to be in decent form while milan, juve, roma are having problems or rebuilding their teams. and btw, hiddink is the one who is leaving. he is still the coach of russia.
enough said
-if ancelotti leaves, there is the risk kaka and pirlo will follow him. i think he should stay. there have been alot of injuries also this season and although i do agree that he made some bad tactics, and subs, if he does what he did for milan in the past, and no horrible injuries, they can win everything nest season
zola will b at chelsea in the next 18 months from a west ham fan
let hiddinks stay, look at what he has done with malouda since he came,
who needs you anyway, shame on you, jose came in and won the league title right under your nose, what achievements have you got to flaunt, losing a champions league final after your team where 3 0 up is a sure sigh of your tactical incompetence, please stay where you are.we will wait until hiddinks is available again.

HOW ABOUT BIG BARRY FRY FOR CHELSKI!!!
HANG ON!!! ITS ABOUT TIME CHELSKI HAD ANOTHER MANAGER WHY NOT BUY ONE GET ONE FREE
JUST IN CASE??????????????????????????
flair and style dont get you anywhere, just look at arsenal who are 4 seasons without a trophy. im sure the gooners would swap their style for some silverware anyday. the premier league is the best and toughest league in the world, jose had the right idea with his style. its not to everyones liking but it got positive results and thats what its about. chelsea need to be winning stuff so they dont have to be in debt to roman who WILL call in that debt sooner than later and then chelsea will be up shitstreet.
one thing though is chelsea needs abit of a clearout and does need some flair players to help the likes of anelka keep on attacking. im surprised how good and troublefree he has been and with a nippy, attack minded player up front with him chelsea could get back on top. drogba has to go, too many times he's flapping around on the floor and basically not doing what he is supposed to do.
regeneration is the key!
he can speak english, he's bein learning all season... bring back mourinho...
We don't want Jose anymore. He played boring cynical football. We want flair style and victories.
theres only one man for chelsea......... jose mourinho!
Why is this news somone hasnt been offered a Chelsea job! I dont think most people have.
Pleased to hear it. Ancelotti might be good in Italy but no good for Chelsea as he can't speak English.
Don't do it...
