West Brom will prepare for Premier League life with pre-season friendlies against German sides Borussia Monchengladbach and FC Cologne.The matches, on July 16 and 19 respectively, will form part of a week-long training camp in Holland.

Albion sporting and technical director Dan Ashworth said: "Every year we like to do something a little bit different.

"This is an opportunity for us to take advantage of an excellent hotel and training facilities, which were checked out by coach Craig Shakespeare in advance.

"We will face two testing games which fit in well with our Premier League preparations."

Borussia Monchengladbach were Bundesliga 2 champions last season, while FC Cologne finished third and were also promoted back to Germany's top flight.
