Celtic midfielder Massimo Donati could be set to stay at Parkhead after the Bhoys issued a hands-off message to Italian outfit Sampdoria. The Bhoys midfielder played a peripheral part in last season's successful SPL campaign and has been tipped to leave the club this summer.
Donati, who joined Celtic from Milan last July, has previously admitted a return to Italy with Sampdoria would appeal.
And the Serie A club have shown an interest, but general manager Beppe Marotta has been shocked by Celtic's asking price.
"The player seems willing to come," Marotta told the Daily Record.
"But the problem is Celtic want too much money. The price they want is incredible."
