Hatters chief: No Dickinson offers

Wed 11 Jun, 03:00 PM

Stockport managing director Mark Maguire says the club has no received no offers for Liam Dickinson and insisted the striker is not for sale.Derby have been linked with the towering forward, 22, whose 21 goals helped Stockport to win promotion to League One last month.

But Maguire said County have not received any bids for Dickinson and that he will remain at Edgeley Park for the foreseeable future.

Maguire said: "We are a little bit disappointed that there are clubs expressing their interest through other means but from our point of view there have been no bids and Liam is not for sale.

"I don't think any club could actually afford Liam so he will remain an integral part of our plans going forward.

"It has not been long since he signed an extended contracted and we are looking forward to him playing another key role for us next season in what is a young and developing side."
