Ove Andersson dies at age of 70 in rallying accident.
Former Toyota F1 team principal Ove Andersson has been killed today (Wednesday) in a rally accident, grandprix.com has reported.
The Swede - who led the team from its entry into the top flight until he announced his retirement the following year - was said to have been participating in a veteran car road rally when he was involved in a head-on collision.
During his highly successful career as a driver, the 70-year-old triumphed in the 1971 Monte Carlo Rally alongside co-driver David Stone in an Alpine-Renault A110, amongst other high-profile victories.
