All three Citroen Junior Team C4 WRCs took part in today's shakedown session ahead of this weekend's Acropolis Rally of Greece.

The CJT crew composed of Evgeny Novikov and Dale Moscatt produced the morning's fastest time, setting a run faster than second-quickest Sebastien Loeb and Daniel Elena's works Citroen team C4.

After finishing fifth in Sardinia three weeks ago, Novikov and Moscatt will be hoping to achieve a similar result in Greece, and the crew of the yellow-liveried C4 hit the ground running this morning.

"Most of the stages are new: some are fast, while others are narrow, but they all tend to be quite slippery," Novikov began. "The conditions are very different to what we saw in Sardinia."

"This morning's shakedown went well and our car is perfectly set up for this event," the Russian added. "My aim is to reach the finish and post some quick times with a view to picking up a few points."

Sebastien Ogier and Julien Ingrassia are targeting the same objective this weekend: "This is another rally which is new to us. I hope we manage to get through it without making any mistakes."

"It is an event that is tough on the cars and tyres, so it will be important to pace ourselves well in order to keep out of trouble," Ogier explained. "We had a foretaste of the heat when we did the recce without air conditioning, and it will be important to drink plenty of water to stay focused during the long stages."

"The tracks tend to rut quite quickly, as we saw on this morning's shakedown. The second passes promise to be a bit of a handful," he predicted.

Conrad Rautenbach made a small mistake which sent his car into a spin, and afterwards the road conditions and lack of wind prevented him from setting a top ten time as he wished: "Towards to the end, the stage was quite bad and there was a lot of dust from the other cars."

The Acropolis Rally begins Friday morning with all drivers wary of the rough and difficult conditions always found on the Greek stages; they will also have to deal carefully with the sweltering heat and the risk of dehydration.
