Transfers - Your view: Aguero right for Chelsea?

Sergio Aguero has emerged as a reported target for Chelsea, but is the Argentinian the right man for the Blues?

He may only be 21 years old but having scored 17 goals for Atletico Madrid last season, he certainly knows where the goal is.

And with Didier Drogba still to commit his future to the Stamford Bridge club, it is easy to see why Chelsea want the man dubbed the 'new Maradona' at Stamford Bridge.

But his wage demands could prove a sticking point. According to reports, Aguero is demanding an enormous £6.5m a year after tax, a figure that would net him nearly £11m a season - even more than what Kaka is getting a Real Madrid.

Is he worth that kind of money? Is anyone?

Who else might Chelsea target if that amount proves too much, even for Roman Abramovich?

Hagensigurdsson: "Chelsea do not need big signings. What the club needs is a decent midfielder to replace aging Ballack, and a striker, with a potential of becoming team's main attacking force. Our reserve team has players like Di Santo, Woods, Kakuta, Sinclair, Mancienne, Stoch. Chelsea problem is in three departments: a.Creative­ midfield wher it is only lamp doing the job which sees­ him play all matches & is affecting him now. b.The­ strike force where only drogba has held sway.Whenever­ dro doesnt perform all goes bad upfront since anelka­ lacks fighting spirit. c.No clear cut wingers with­ injury to j.cole & malouda not able to cope on the­ left. So very limited attacking options.Solution is­ sell deco.mineiro,kalou,bbelleti sheva etc & buy­ fabaino to partner dro then bring pirlo to create in­ the midfield & get ike uche to play from the right­ wing till j.cole is back

  5. yes aguero is a good striker for chelsea.chelsea have a­ good solid defence with Terry nd Co.they have agreat­ left winger malouda who can be brilliant with­ assists.yuri zhrykov would be a big boost to the team­ on the right wing..the main thing is they need a fast­ dynamic young striker cause drogs n gettin quite­ old..yes aguero n pato would fit in n it"ll be­ massive..=)

  9. im big chelsea fan, id love to see the likes of aguero,­ ribery, pato, villa, tevez join chelsea but. I doubt­ they would want to come. we are targeting the right­ players we are intending to buy young fresh players­ which will bring more stababily in our squad. its not­ that we are rubbish at signing it because these players­ would prefer to join other clubs.

  14. Would like to see Balotelli come to the Bridge!! Looks­ a very good prospect. Also a huge fan of Ryan Babel. ­ Liverpool dont play him so could be snapped up­ cheaply.

    Aguero is a fantastic talent and it would be­ great to see him in a Blue shirt! Will definately score­ goals and will add more pace to a front line that is­ lacking.
