Wolves legend Ron Flowers was delighted to finally pick up his World Cup winners medal on Wednesday.
Flowers and ten other members of Sir Alf Ramsay's triumphant 1996 squad who did not play in the final against West Germany were presented with their medals at a Downing Street reception by Prime Minister Gordon Brown.
A memorable day was rounded-off when the players were presented to the Wembley crowd during England's 6-0 win over Andorra.
"It was really nice for us all to meet up with the Prime Minister and receive our medals," Flowers told Wolves' official website.
"Going to Downing Street was a real highlight - it was an unforgettable experience and fascinating to see.
"My first trip to the new Wembley was the icing on the cake even if the game was a bit of a foregone conclusion."
