The Pinnacle Consortium are confident of completing their proposed takeover of Southampton before next Friday`s deadline.
The Matt Le Tissier-backed group entered a 21-day exclusivity agreement with Southampton Leisure Holdings at the end of May and are in negotiations with administrators Begbies Traynor with a view to taking over at St Mary's.
Pinnacle have until Friday June 19 to complete the deal and Tony Lynam, the voice of the consortium, has revealed they are on course to conclude a deal, telling The Daily Echo: "Thing are going really well and going to plan. What's in our hands is now being done."

roger m - I've not heard any talk of a 'mega-rich dude'. Have I missed something? I thought this was just a group of fairly well off folks rounded up by Le Tiss with a distinct possibility of being in the same over-stretched boat in a couple of years - back into administration and another -10pts. Don't get me wrong - i hope there is some mega-rich oil/russian/arab backing this up (even a yank would do :-) ), but I must have missed the rumours.
As for Keegan, I'm not sure. If the club are successful he'll move on and if they aren't he'll move on. Let's face it, on past experience, if he has a bad day he might just quit too.
Exciting times - let's hope the start of good times too.
Tomorrow we also find out who this mega rich dude is.. Paul Allen back ?? Oil rich Arrab ??
Please,please not with Keegan.He's a microbe.
Yes but whatever happened to Stern john??
roll on 5pm tomorrow.....can I wait another day......OF COURSE...ESPECIALLY IF KING KEV IS BACK TOO......could life get any better (even though we will be playing at a 5000 seater brighton and hove albion)....you bet !!
