Luton boss Mick Harford has committed his future to the League Two club despite the club being handed a 30-point penalty. The Football League announced on Thursday a 20-point deduction for applying to come out of administration in addition to an earlier 10-point penalty for breaching rules over payments to players' agents.
But the former Hatters player has vowed to stay with the club despite being out of contract since May and facing the daunting task of overcoming the massive penalty.
Harford has cited the honesty and vision of incoming owners LTFC 2020 as the main reason for staying with the Kenilworth Road side.
He told the club's official website, www.lutonfc.com: "I have always loved this club but, over recent months, I have realised how much more I will love it when 2020 finally take ownership.
"I have a great deal of experience in the game but never before have I been so encouraged and enthusiastic about working in such a strong management team.
"I never fail to be impressed by their open and honest approach to this business and I have been made to feel integral to their plans and they have been very supportive to my ideas to regenerate the squad."
Harford admits next season will be a massive challenge but is confident the Hatters' positive mentality will help them maintain their place in the Football League.
He added: "It won't be easy by any means but the team we're building will be strong in character and will rise to the challenge.
"We have to remain resolute and confident we can retain out long history in the league and I will give that commitment to Luton Town Football Club and its fabulous supporters."
