Dundee United have signed Spanish striker Francesco Sandaza from Valencia, with the 23-year-old penning a three-year contract.Sandaza will join the Scottish Premier League side for pre-season training after international clearance is received next week.

The forward, who scored 23 goals last season for Valencia's B team Mestalla, joins on-loan Cardiff striker Warren Feeney in signing for United in the past week.

Tannadice boss Craig Levein said: "It's been well known that I was seeking to bring in two forwards before the start of the season and I've been delighted to be able to secure the services of Warren Feeney and now Francesco Sandaza at this early stage of our pre-season schedule.

"Francesco comes highly recommended by two of my trusted contacts and has been watched many times over the last year.

"He will add pace and height to the side and his abilities will complement and strengthen our attack.

"I'm sure he will be a big success at Tannadice and that he will be very popular with our fans."
