The new LADA Priora car will benefit from a 20 kilogram reduction on the minimum weight for the next race meeting at Brands Hatch.
According to the regulations, the newly-homologated Russian saloon should have been laden again with the maximum 40kg compensation weight, just like in Porto.
However, after taking into consideration the lap-times clocked by James Thompson during the qualifying session and races in Portugal, the FIA Touring Car Bureau decided not to apply 'article 79' and grant the Priora the same reduction as the old LADA 110.
Therefore at Brands Hatch Thompson's car will weigh 1150 kilos, driver included.
