Manchester City have pulled out of a move for Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o.
The Cameroon international had been linked with a big-money move to Eastlands, but boss Mark Hughes will now turn his attention to other targets.
City CEO Garry Cook told the club's official website: "Samuel Eto'o is undoubtedly a fine footballer but the circumstances surrounding him were such that the deal could not be completed."
He continued: "We now feel the time is right to pursue other avenues and we have a clear and strategic transfer plan, which we continue to follow."

Man City do the right things, there are players out there trying to take advantage of Man City in term of money. And they thought that they are indispensable after signing. Better sign for players with good attitude and disipline.I think Eto will end up loses either way now.
