Long handed No 9 shirt

Shane Long will take the number nine shirt from Kevin Doyle next season after Reading released their provisional squad numbers for 2009/10.

Striker Long, previously number 24, will don the coveted squad number following Doyle`s move to Wolves earlier this summer while goalkeeper Adam Federici claims the number one jersey after Marcus Hahnemann`s switch to Molineux.

Liam Rosenior also moves to number two from 22, Marek Matejovsky takes eight and Jay Tabb moves to his previously worn number seven from 37.
