French midfielder Anthony Robic will link up with Plymouth next week on trial.

The 23-year-old will train with the Pilgrims and should also take part in one of the club`s four pre-season friendlies as he looks to impress following his release from Ligue 2 side Tours.

"The game has always been interesting in England," Robic told France Football. "The contacts I have in France have been slow to materialise and I have an opportunity in England so I want to seize it. I will give everything during this test and we'll see what happens."

Meanwhile, manager Paul Sturrock is upbeat after a recent meeting with the club`s new owners but admits it`s too early to expect an instant impact.

He told the club`s official website: "I asked some questions and I got some decent answers but there were questions that no people in their right minds would answer. So there is going to be a timeframe for me knowing what the story is."
