Stockport boss Jim Gannon could hand a full debut to new signing Carl Baker when his side make a Carling Cup first-round trip to Leicester.Attacking midfielder Baker signed from Morecambe in a £225,000 deal this summer but was named only as a substitute for Saturday's 1-1 draw at Huddersfield.

He came off the bench at half-time to replace Anthony Pilkington and is in line for a starting role against the Foxes after an impressive 45-minute display against Stan Ternent's side.

Striker Matty McNeil - another half-time substitute at the Galpharm Stadium - may also earn a place in the starting line-up as County seek to record an upset against Nigel Pearson's side.

However, Jason Taylor is out of action for around eight weeks, and Dominic Blizzard could also miss out again after being sidelined through injury for the Huddersfield clash.
