Bristol Rovers defender Danny Coles has signed a two-year contract extension to keep him at the Memorial Stadium until 2012.The 26-year-old, who began his career at rivals Bristol City, had recently been attracting the interest of Championship club Plymouth.
Director of football Lennie Lawrence told Rovers' official website: "We are delighted to announce that Danny Coles has signed a two-year extension to his conract.
"This has been in response to the numerous bids from Plymouth - all of which have been rejected by the club.
"Everyone here at Bristol Rovers is extremely pleased to have secured Danny's services for the long term."
