Crystal Palace have boosted their squad after completing a double swoop for John Oster and Leandre Griffit on short-term deals.Former Everton and Sunderland winger Oster, 29, was a free agent after being released by Reading over the summer and has impressed Eagles boss Neil Warnock while on trial.

French midfielder Griffit, 24, who has had spells with Southampton, Leeds and Rotherham, arrives on a free transfer from Swedish top-flight side IF Elsborg.

Both players have signed initial deals until January and should be in contention for Tuesday night's Carling Cup clash with Hereford at Selhurst Park, although Griffit is awaiting international clearance.
