Blackburn Rovers boss Paul Ince has pleaded for the opportunity to be given time in the job.
Ince replaced Mark Hughes at Ewood Park earlier in the summer and is preparing for his first match as a Premier League manager on Saturday.
But, even before a ball has been kicked in the new season, Ince has been forced to contend with rumours of unrest within the dressing room.
The former MK Dons manager believes the criticism is premature and unfair, and wants the chance to prove he can cut it at the highest level.
"We can't settle down because people want to unsettle us and it's not fair or right," said Ince in The Sun.
"Everyone needs a chance and the season has not even started.
"We're trying to build something here. It's not going to happen overnight and we need time to do it. And we will do it.
"I've been in the game 20-odd years and I can deal with most things.
"If we lose the first five games of the season then, yes, you can have a go at me. But until then you have to give me a chance."

These are just rumours not facts, give him time to adjust to the task ahead, because he hasn't had the best of starts with Bentley wanting out and of course Freidel going as well. He has to make his own mark and bring his own system and players, give the man a chance. Whoever got the job would not have made things happen overnight.
its all part of the job Paul, and if you don't sort out your man management skills then you could well loose the first five games of the season...
