Willo Flood will consider quitting Celtic if he fails to win regular first-team football before the end of the year.
Flood, 24, struggled to win a first-team place under Strachan last season and appears to have fallen further down the pecking order under new manager Tony Mowbray.
Flood, who joined boyhood idols Celtic from Cardiff after 18 months on loan at Dundee United, said: "It's too soon to do anything right now. I'll keep my head down and hopefully catch the manager's eye. But if I'm not involved by January, I will have to go in and speak to the manager about my situation."
He added: "If you go from playing week in, week out to being a bit-part player, it can be frustrating. You get frustrated with yourself and things around you. But I'll need to keep my head down and see what happens in the next couple of weeks.
"I had the chance to fulfil my boyhood dream of playing for Celtic. I couldn't turn it down and I have never regretted it.
"I want to be playing games rather than sitting on the bench. Any footballer who says he's happy sitting on the bench lacks ambition.
"It was the same for me at City. I was involved under Kevin Keegan but when Stuart Pearce came in I never played as much as I wanted."

flood is more than up to scratch for celtic ,well above standard .the celtic fans will never believe that there team is only cheap budget team and this is the kind of players they are going to pick up.mowbray may have access to more cheaper budget players than WGS so it is likley to continue.
If Flood wants a move out of Glasgow Id happily have him at Hearts
Yet another talent player wasted
Willo was well warned he would get Skelfs in his erse by going
to the Tattie Bowl.
lets be honest flood cant be that good or cardiff would not have put him on loan to dufc in the first place.if he was a decent player mowbrey will give him a chance.cant see him there much longer
Aw bless. Someone doesn't like my attempt at humour.
shut it ya feenyin orunge weera peepil up ra 'ra....blah blah blah.
;-)
pt7 very good point mate good to have a none bigot point of veiw
Decent player and he's got a fair point but Celtic (and Rangers too) need a good bench to compliment the first team and I can't ever see him start unless there are injuries.
Also, why didn't Utd buy him from Cardiff? If he was so special a player to them and I seem to remember him bumping his gums about leaving them, why didn't they, or any other SPL team, stump up the 50 g's and sign him?
im a big fan o willo and would have liked to see him in hibs shirt but as normal ceptic and rangers sit him on a bench and waste him pt1 james he is well up to ceptics standards but the weeges just dont like competition so they buy them to sit them on the bench
Hope you're right UB40 coz Willo is too good a player not to be playing. Even if Celtic were to loan him out to another club (preferably United) with the option of recalling him so that he is getting regular games. Competition is hot for midfield places at Parkhead. Arabest in Lochee.
arab4everandever,i like your name 1st,but hopefully your wrong about willo, tony mowberey is giving every 1 a fair chance he has competion, sorray but eed did not ave it a tannadice mate, ara best

Willo Flood is a fantastic talent and I was gutted when he left Tannadice for a mere £50,000. Peanuts as far as todays crazy transfer fees go. In reality, he was never going to be a Celtic first team regular and yet he would be a guaranteed starter in every other SPL team. Come back to Tannadice Willo. You're too good to sit on the bench. The only reason Celtic bought you was to weaken their opposition. You can still support your boyhood heroes, but you aint gonna play for them regularly. Might be proved wrong, but I doubt it. Too many good players have gone to Celtic & Rangers under similar circumstances to sit on the bench or play in the reserves. Such players should show ambition by leaving the old firm and playing their best to beat them and break the Glasgow monopoly.
DUFC and Hearts to put in a good challenge this season.
it was always going to be the case. players from other SPL clubs need to think long and hard if they are up to celtic scratch before signing
