No Wes progress, admits Grayson

Tue 11 Sep, 03:45 PM

Blackpool boss Simon Grayson admits the club are no nearer to resolving Wes Hoolahan's transfer saga and that "the situation is the same".The winger has been an integral part of Grayson's side this season after the club were given permission to include him but FIFA have yet to decide whether former club Livingston are entitled to further compensation.

Grayson said: "The situation is the same. Wes is our player and I don't know when the next FIFA hearing is.

"I will just pick him. The chairman deals with the next stage. All I needed was the green light to play him and we got that.

"Whatever happens after that is down to the chairman, solicitors and FIFA.

"I'm not bothered. Having him in a tangerine shirt is all that matters to me."
