Swede VikboBosse has become the fifth player to make it to the grand final of the Poker Race Trophy.

These are stories that only poker can write: a factory worker and father of five qualifies via an online Freeroll at fun.PokerRoom.com and it doesn't cost him a penny.

He then leaves for an all-inclusive VIP Poker Race Trophy weekend at an FIA WTCC racetrack, wins a poker stand-off in front of TV cameras, has a guaranteed $10,000 at the final table and the chance to win another $500,000 prize pool.

VikboBosse's opponents came from Canada, England, Finland and Germany. gbpoker from Canada certainly thought he was in the running to win at the semi-final table, as he was by far the most experienced player.

Even before the tournament, he had been heard bemoaning the fact that his first child's due date was November 29 - the precise date of the Poker Race Trophy final. But VikboBosse thwarted his and everyone else's plans.

As 3:1 chip leader, VikboBosse faced his opponent IntraVnus from England when it got down to the heads up. When the latter went all-in with QQ, the Swede called and presented his A3 of spades.

There was hard luck for IntraVnus when the board produced another ace, propelling VikboBosse into the final. While he lifted the winner's trophy up into the air, his face showed a mixture of joy and disbelief.

"I am just a factory worker - this is too much for me," he said.

As all Race Trophy semi-final winners before him - he was invited to open the WTCC race as a passenger in the leading car.

He met the top WTCC drivers, among them his Swedish compatriot Rickard Rydell. On this weekend, VikboBosse was by far the more successful of the two Swedish entrants, since he qualified for the big $500,000 prize pool in Vienna on November 29 while Rydell didn't even score in the WTCC race.
