Jean-Christophe Boullion was fastest in Friday's free practice ahead of the Le Mans Series 1000km of Silverstone.

The Frenchman was fastest in both practice sessions, taking his Pescarolo Judd around the Northamptonshire circuit in a best time of one minute 34.50 seconds, just over a quarter of a second quicker than the second best time of the day by Aston Martin Racing's Harold Primat.

Olivier Panis was third for Oreca, though he was some way back with 1:35.122, while Kolles Audi driver Christian Bakkerud produced the fourth quickest time of the day with a 1:35.396 that which saw him become one of the few drivers to go quicker in the early evening session.

Strakka Racing's Danny Watts was fifth with a best of 1:35.604, but the British driver will be pleased with his consistency in going just seven-tenths slower in the early-evening session.
