Wales coach Warren Gatland has hailed the "immeasurable" difference of a 13-day preparation period before his team's autumn Test opener against New Zealand.
Gatland will have uninterrupted player access for almost a fortnight before tackling the All Blacks in Cardiff on November 7. It is among the key points in a new five-year participation agreement signed earlier this week between the Welsh Rugby Union and Regional Rugby Wales.
Gatland said: "From a coaching point of view, the fact that we now have the full 13-day period to prepare for the (autumn) series will make a vital contribution to how we approach the campaign. We will be able to make sure players are right back up to international pace and primed for the task ahead in those first few days."
He added: "We will then be able to concentrate on the finer points of preparation without rushing our way through anything. The difference it will make to us is immeasurable."
Release of players for games outside the International Rugby Board's recognised Test windows had sparked furious rows in Wales.
The WRU won a High Court judgement last year that confirmed player release for Wales' Millennium Stadium clash against world champions South Africa.
RRW, the organisation representing Wales' four professional regional sides, sought a High Court ruling to back their stance of not having to release players for this season's All Blacks encounter.
A court date had been set for this week, but it was then cancelled after peace broke out between the union and regions.
Both the New Zealand fixture and a November 28 appointment with Australia are already confirmed Millennium Stadium sell-outs. Some 250,000 tickets have already been sold for the quartet of autumn fixtures - Wales also face Argentina and Samoa - and Gatland is relishing the challenge.
"This four-match series will represent the best collective opposition I have faced in my rugby career, as a player or as a coach," he added. "We are facing two of the top three teams in the world."

AustraIia, NZ, Argentina and Somoa...its getting as challenging as the 6N. I guess England and the other home nations will also be playing 3 or 4 southern hemisphere games in the autumn. They should knock up some kind of table to gauge who the best northern and southern team is based on percentage wins and maybe with some kind of weighting. Perhaps I do it myself!
Rugby has a trickle down effect in all nations.
If the National team does well, the regions and clubs do well. The regions in Wales need to appreciate that the Natinal side comes first, eveytime.
However, the Union need to play fair by the regions as they have to run their businesses correctly and get returns for their investment and effort.
Just glad it is sorted out, for a few more months.
Go Gatland.
