Blackpool manager Ian Holloway has ruled Gary Taylor-Fletcher out of the trip to Leicester due to an ankle ligament tear.
The 28-year-old midfielder sustained the injury during training after colliding with team-mate Alex Baptiste and is expected to be ruled out for a number of weeks.
Winger Ishmel Demontagnac also faces several weeks on the sidelines after he picked up a hamstring injury in the 4-1 Carling Cup victory over Wigan.
However, Holloway could hand a debut to former Watford and Fulham winger Hameur Bouazza, 24, who recently agreed a one-year contract with an option for a second year.
Neal Eardley should also be available after he was an unused substitute in Wales's 3-1 home defeat to Russia in midweek.

Blackpool could get away with this one, but I think this injury thing will prove to be a 'smoke screen' which shrouds the nitty-gritty they put in to grind out a result. The result? If Blackpool are on a high, they will lose. Passing, possession, team positions linking, a bit of 'esp' maybe no lapses, defense/midfield dominance. A couple of outstanding saves perhaps?
