Caretaker manager Dario Gradi was a relieved man after seeing his Crewe side end their losing streak with a 3-2 victory at Bradford.

FOOTBALL League Two Crewe's Dario Gradi - 0

Calvin Zola bagged a stunning double as Crewe ripped up the form book with Steven Schumacher adding a third.

Michael Boulding had pulled one back for the Bantams and James Hanson's 69th minute volley set up a frantic finish, with Crewe full-back Ashley Westwood appearing to handle in the box, only for referee Carl Boyeson to rule it had taken place outside the area.

"A win is a win. Before the game I would have settled for a draw," admitted Gradi.

"They're in good form so I would have settled for a draw. We didn't want to lose two on the trot. Lose two on the trot and depression sets in so it was good.

"They weren't creating anything they were just getting the ball in the box and they caught us out twice doing it. I thought overall we probably created more chances."
