DOUBLE: Intabih and Mambo Spirit.

Wolverhampton might have lost last Saturday's evening meeting due to floodlight failure but Intabih can shine as the track swings back into action on Wednesday.

Clive Brittain's charge is taking a leap in class in the Wolverhampton Holiday Inn Handicap but he is in excellent form as he seeks a hat-trick.

The More Than Ready colt did not show his best in three turf starts but switched to the all-weather, he has really started to come alive.

Two placed efforts at Great Leighs were quickly followed by a course-and-distance win at Dunstall Park, scoring in striking style in what was a weak event.

However, Intabih made it a double under a penalty at Great Leighs late last month and although he has been raised 6lb for those victories, he is obviously just finding his stride.

Mambo Spirit was a bit unlucky at Lingfield last time but can make amends in the Hotel & Conferencing At Wolverhampton Handicap.

He had not enjoyed the luck of the draw at Chester previously so when he failed to get a run over a furlong out at Lingfield, trainer James Given must have been ruing his misfortune.

Mambo Spirit kept on well enough and only went down by a length so another good show is anticipated.

Hometown was unfortunate to run into a fair filly at Yarmouth in Bombina but she should be up to the task in Southwell's Play Golf At Southwell Golf Club Median Auction Maiden Stakes.

Related to some quite decent types, Hometown failed to show much on her racecourse bow before stepping up to the mark to finish second last time.

She is evidently still learning and John Gosden has found a good opportunity for a confidence boost.

Kempton have some quality jumps action on offer and while it wins no prizes for originality, Paul Nicholls' I'msingingtheblues in unopposable in the Kempton.co.uk Graduation Chase.

After winning a Grade Two hurdle at last year's Paddy Power meeting he never quite progressed over timber but looked an absolute natural over the larger obstacles at the Sunbury venue last month.

Already prominent in the betting for the Arkle, he can cement his position for the Cheltenham contest.

The Pertemps Handicap Hurdle Qualifier may also give off some Festival clues but the way Nicky Richards has started the season Middleton Dene is the one to side with.

The six-year-old has to shoulder top-weight but was not disgraced against some of the best novices' last term.

Sue Smith's Mr Strachan was an expensive failure at both Cheltenham and Aintree last season after falling when sent off favourite for the Jewson and running poorly at the Grand National meeting.

He reappears in the Anne Duchess of Westminster Memorial Handicap Chase at Bangor though and is taken to get back on the winning trail.
