James Stewart made his first appearance at the Paris Bercey Supercross track and promptly won all of his races at the three night event. The new 'King of Bersey' is now gearing up for another tough season in the US SX series.
Despite injuries holding him back during the latest SX season, Stewart managed an impressive two races and two wins on his new Yamaha. His performance impressed the French crowds, but Stewart was equally blown away by their enthusiasm. "Before I came here I knew that the crowd was one of the best, but it was even more than what I expected. The atmosphere is incredible, I want to thank them for their enthusiasm and I hope I will be back next year."
The Americans dominated the event, with Justin Brayton and Kevin Windham joining Stewart on the podium. They were the fastest riders on the track, with Brayton finishing twice runner-up and Windham getting stronger each day. David Vuilleman was the only contender to pose any real threat when he beat Windham in the last race - but his defeat by Stewart in the final left him in fourth place overall.
The SX Tour round once again saw Christophe Martin as the champion, with Cedric Soubeyras and Alexandre Rouis battling it out for runner-up - Rouis came through. Gregory Aranda won the 'Olaf Trophy' while Max Anstie dominated for the third night in a row the Junior class, followed by Levreau and Aubin.
