Colchester boss Geraint Williams has called on his side to draw upon last season's experiences to drag themselves out of the bottom three. The Us took a 4-1 pasting at Cardiff at the weekend to drop into the relegation zone, but Williams knows they have bounced back from worse and is backing his players to respond in their televised clash against Norwich on Saturday.
"We were beaten 5-1 at Derby last season and it hurt, but what happened then was that we went on a good run of results," he said.
"We know it's not easy in the division this year, but we've got to work very hard to eradicate all the little errors which are costing us at the moment.
"We're Colchester United in the Championship - there are going to be disappointments. We have to regroup and come out next week with a lot of pride."
